The Days of Rage were a series of violent anti-war protests in Chicago that coincided with the trial of the Chicago Eight, a group of protesters charged with conspiring to incite a riot. National Shrimp Festival (2020)

This waterside festival is held for four days in Gulf Shores, Alabama, drawing crowds estimated at 200,000. This festival began in this shrimping and resort area in 1971 as a one-day event to liven things up after Labor Day. The big event was a shrimp-cooking contest, and shrimp dishes have been in the forefront since, with lots of jambalaya and kabobs.
